Hollow Injection Molding Method "Gas Assist Molding"

There are almost no restrictions on the types of resins, and it can be applied to most thermoplastic resins!

"Gas Assist Molding" is a method where, after injecting molten resin into the mold, high-pressure inert gas (N2) is injected directly into the mold cavity or from the nozzle of the injection molding machine to selectively create a hollow section in the thick parts of the molded product. This method is expected to improve the appearance quality of the molded product (such as sink marks and warping), enhance rigidity through hollow ribs, and reduce residual stress in the molded parts. 【Benefits】 - Reduction in resin material usage due to lightweighting - Decrease in assembly labor hours for products through part integration - Reduction in mold costs due to simplification of mold structure - Reduction in operating costs through low-pressure molding (downsizing of the molding machine) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Gas-assisted molding

By reducing the thickness variation of the molded products, warping is suppressed! It is possible to create molded products with high dimensional accuracy!

In addition to injection molding, our company also conducts gas-assisted molding and insert molding using vertical molding machines (including overseas locations). Polyamide resin containing 50% glass fiber is prone to uneven thickness in gas injection, but we have successfully achieved mass production. It is possible to reduce the amount of raw materials (resin) used and lower costs by shortening cooling time, and since we can lower the injection pressure, we can suppress the occurrence of burrs. 【Benefits】 ■ By applying pressure from inside the product, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of sink marks. ■ Reducing the thickness variation of molded products helps to minimize warping. ■ It is possible to produce molded products with high dimensional accuracy. ■ Cost reduction is achievable by reducing the amount of raw materials (resin) used and shortening cooling time. ■ Since we can lower the injection pressure, we can suppress the occurrence of burrs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
